By downloading, accessing, or using the MOMconnect application, you signify your agreement to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.

2. Intended Usage

  • It is an emergency support utility designed for personal safety.
  • Facilitates trusted-contact-based location sharing.
  • Operates as an Android emergency assistance tool.

3. User Responsibilities

Users are exclusively responsible for:

Granting Permissions

Ensuring all required permissions are enabled.

Configuring Contacts

Selecting and verifying correct trusted numbers.

Android Settings

Maintaining background execution and battery settings needed for reliability.

4. Emergency Reliability Disclaimer

We strive for maximum reliability, however MOMconnect does NOT guarantee perfect emergency delivery.

MOMconnect's ability to trigger and send locations may be affected by factors completely outside our control, including but not limited to:

  • GPS limitations or unavailability
  • Mobile network or SMS gateway failures
  • Android OEM strict background restrictions
  • Battery optimization behavior force-closing the app
  • Device-specific hardware limitations

5. Permission Usage

Permissions granted to MOMconnect are used exclusively for core emergency functionality as detailed in our Privacy Policy. We do not repurpose these permissions for any external use.

6. Privacy Commitment

MOMconnect strictly follows a local-device-first privacy approach. We do not sell, trade, or upload your personal information.

7. Limitation of Liability

MOMconnect is provided as a supportive emergency utility. It should never be relied upon as a replacement for dialing official national emergency services (e.g., 911, 112, 100). The creators of MOMconnect shall not be held liable for any damages, losses, or injuries resulting from the use or inability to use the app during an emergency.

8. Policy Updates

These terms may change through future updates. Continued use of MOMconnect following such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
